Father’s Day is that special day when everyone likes to think that the place Dad would most like to be is parked in front of the grill, meats ablaze and brow sweaty.

They’re probably right for the most part, but maybe throw in a fishing outing and some peace and quiet at the end of the day, after the kids are in bed and the grill is packed away until next weekend. Whichever part of the day best suits the Dad in your life, we’ve got the perfect beverage to make this Father’s Day (and Night!) something special.
Join us in celebrating Dad or finding the right gift for him with Scotch, Bourbon and Beer for sampling Saturday, June 16th from Noon until 2pm. Wine will start earlier at 11am as is normal and we’ll follow up with cocktail hour from 2pm until 4pm, where Danny will be leading an exploration of the ‘session’ Negroni.
Wine will be focused on the grilling portion of the day, with wines to match the full gamut of Salmon to Steak. Villa Symposia Amphora ($9.99), a lighter-bodied Rhone red bursting with bright cherry and balanced with a touch of smoke and earthiness will pair well with salmon and lamb.Creto Carmenere ($8.99), a medium-bodied Chilean wine with intense flavor and a bit of spice walks hand in hand with heartier lamb dishes and grilled pork.Daniel Cohn Bellacosa Cabernet Sauvignon ($26.99, second bottle only a penny!), a rich tour de force of flavor, offers a combination of multi-layered berries, earthiness and tremendous smoothness that makes it the perfect companion for steak, pot roast, BBQ and more!
Spirits will feature some whisky and whiskey to enrich Dad’s quiet time of relaxation.Macallan 12yr Sherry Oak ($69.99) is a classic, just like Pops. Spicy, sweet, full-bodied and more-than-100% full of dried, dark fruits – if you had nipped this from his liquor cabinet as a teen, Dad would have had a scotch drinking partner much earlier!Ardbeg Twenty Something ($549.99) will be making a rare appearance at the sampling bar, eager to show that 23 years is indeed a special amount of age for this Islay distillery. Sweet and smoky, the Bourbon and Oloroso casks show brilliantly in this whisky, with enough maturity to tame the Ardbeg spirit slightly, but plenty of peaty, medicinal brashness waiting just
