Sunday, October 20th we are throwing a free one-day karaoke competition! The teams need to have 2-4 singers. Teams must be registered ahead of time! No same day signups! Each team will be doing two songs.

You can start your own team or sign up as a free agent and I can pair you up with others. Once you create your team on Eventbrite remember to then immediately register yourself on the team too.

*Format*
You are judged on two 10-point scales--how well you sing it and how well you bring it! There will be a panel of five judges and an electronic scoreboard. We do Olympic-style scoring so the highest and lowest score is dropped for each of the two categories. I will be taking photos and video of all your performances! The top three teams with the highest scores will then draw a karaoke song at random and will have five minutes to prepare their song before they take the stage. The champions will each receive a free registration for the upcoming full season of karaoke league.
*Performance time*
The competition starts at 730PM. Please support the other teams by staying until the last team has performed.
*Picking your songs*
Email me your songs as soon as you can. If two teams submit the same song, whoever properly submitted the song first gets the song. You can change your song request after you have submitted one as long as no one requested your original song. If you blocked another team from picking a song you will be "locked in" on that song and you will be required to keep it. If you want to use a particular karaoke version of a song your captain can submit to me the version. Make sure you submit your songs in the order that you will be performing them.
*Taking the stage*
The order of the teams will not be published so please be there on time at 730PM. The TV monitors will show what teams are currently performing, their songs, and their scores. It will also show which team is next. Pay attention to this so you know when your team is up! There will be a large countdown timer on stage set to two minutes between every act. This will give you time to take the stage and prepare for your next song. B
