Description

Demarco Plays is a Christian Based Performing Arts Ministry. Our mission is to raise awareness on social issues dealing with Domestic Violence, Teen Pregnancy, Gang Violence, and Child Abuse. Demarco Plays was started in 1999 by Antwan Demarco in Philadelphia, PA. Demarco's first production was entitled, "Revelations of Heaven & Hell.” Through this production, Demarco received confirmation off his calling, the arts. After 7 years of producing "Revelations of Heaven & Hell”, Demarco created a story inspired by real life testimonies and struggles of young people in and around his community. Demarco wrote and produced "Kila'Delphia, Who's Next?” in 2005. In its first two years Kila'delphia was viewed over 200 times by audiences across the nation. "MLK BLVD,” is the television series based off of this popular and ever relevant stage play. It is combined with many of the characters and realities represented on stage in Demarco's other productions.
