Fishers, Indiana is a rapidly growing area just north of Indianapolis in Hamilton County. Since 1963, Fishers has grown from a population of under 500 to more than 65,000 people. Even though Fishers is close to the state capital, there is a number of attractions for residents and visitors to enjoy. One of the top attractions in the summer is the Geist Reservoir which offers a chance to fish, boat, and water ski. If staying on land seems more appealing Fishers is also home to a number of public and private golf courses. Those that are interested in a little bit of history will want to stop by the living history museum of Conner Prairie where 19th century history comes to life. The Artist' Studio provides community theater entertainment for Fishers residents. And the night life doesn't end there. Spots like the Britton Tavern provide a good drink and live music entertainment. And for those looking to find a great meal, Fishers is home to a number of excellent restaurants including The Ram and Petersons. If you want a small town atmosphere with big town entertainment, Fishers is the place to be.
