Indianapolis Union Station was the first union station in the world when built in 1853 by the Indianapolis Union Railway. The current building was constructed 1888 and offers a majestic setting with the historic architecture. Now this historic building offers a Crowne Plaza hotel, charter school, museums, and more. The Grand Hall of Union Station is also rented out for events, banquets, and other special occasions.
